Sites du patrimoine mondial et réserves de biosphère
Les sites de la Liste du patrimoine mondial sont des biens culturels, naturels ou mixtes dont la valeur universelle exceptionnelle a été reconnue par le Comité du patrimoine mondial. Les réserves de biosphère sont des aires composées d’écosystèmes terrestres et côtiers qui sont reconnus au plan international dans le cadre du Programme sur l’Homme et la biosphère de l’UNESCO (MAB).

Les sites du patrimoine mondial/réserves de biosphère qui suivent se jouxtent :
- France : : la réserve de biosphère de la Vallée du Fango jouxte le golfe de Girolata, le golfe de porto, la réserve de Scandola et les calanques de Piana en Corse, qui forment un site du patrimoine mondial.
- Ouganda: la réserve de biosphère Queen Elizabeth (Rwenzori) jouxte le site du patrimoine mondial des Monts Rwenzori.
- République tchèque : le paysage culturel de Lednice-Valtice jouxte la réserve de biosphère de Palava.
- Canada : la réserve de biosphère de Southwest Nova jouxte le site du patrimoine mondial du Vieux Lunenbourg.
- Cambodge : La réserve de biosphère de Tonle Sap est contiguë au site du patrimoine mondial d’Angkor.
