The Strategic Action Plan and Vision to guide the implementation of the World Heritage Convention over the decade 2012-2022 was adopted by Resolution 18 GA 11 (UNESCO 2011) and a follow-up report on the progress achieved towards the implementation of the Strategic Action Plan was presented and welcomed by the General Assembly (Resolution 22 GA 9 (UNESCO, 2019)).

This document is a report to the General Assembly, in accordance with Resolution 22 GA 9, on the progress of the implementation of the Strategic Action Plan as well as a status on the preparation of the 50th anniversary of the World Heritage Convention in 2022.
