Description

Dear colleague,

First of all, let me thank you for your cooperation in the Periodic Reporting exercise which we greatly appreciate.

We have noticed that there are quite a number of issues concerning access to the questionnaire. I would like to clarify that access to the Periodic Reporting questionnaire is given only to the designated Site Managers and Focal Points, who have received the username and password for access to the questionnaire by the World Heritage Centre. In case there is a change of the designated Site Manager, which the World Heritage Centre strongly recommends to abstain from during the Periodic Reporting process, please inform the World Heritage Centre accordingly, so that username and password could be sent in a timely fashion.

In a few other cases, new internet security rules have compromised a correct functioning of the online system. We are working on solving these technical issues and I would like to apologize for the inconvenience and to express my gratitude for your patience.

I would also like to take this opportunity to draw your attention to the Periodic Reporting online platform which presents all relevant information in a structured and targeted manner including video tutorials and the Handbook for Site Managers, with a view to facilitating the Periodic Reporting exercise. The platform can be accessed through the following link: https://whc.unesco.org/en/153 .

Please note that as from February 2013, Ms Patricia Alberth will be leaving the World Heritage Centre and the new Focal Point for the Periodic Reporting exercise will be Ms Alexandra Fiebig (a.fiebig@unesco.org).

I thank you for your cooperation and support in the implementation of the World Heritage Convention.

Yours sincerely,

Petya Totcharova
