Human Evolution and the World Heritage Convention

The International Meeting, Human Evolution and the World Heritage Convention, Burgos, Spain, 21 to 25 March, 2009, considered sites containing hominid findings, both inscribed or yet to be inscribed on the World Heritage List, as well as evaluated the thematic area of Human Evolution within the context of the Convention. It involved the participation of 20 international experts, representatives of Advisory Bodies ICOMOS and IUCN, and scientific institutions from 14 States Parties.
