IX National meeting of World Heritage Managers in Vizcaya Bridge (Getxo), Spain

The Office for the Protection of the Historical Heritage of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports of the Government of Spain is organizing the IX National Meeting of World Heritage Managers on 6 to 8 October 2015 in the World Heritage site of Vizcaya Bridge (Getxo), Spain, inscribed on the World Heritage List in 2006.

The theme of the meeting is “World Heritage: social benefits and local developments”, and it will focus on the social dimension of heritage and its potential as a catalyst to social, cultural and economic development, taking into account all the stakeholders.

This meeting will be an opportunity to create a common space for discussion on the safeguarding of World Heritage sites inscribed on the World Heritage List of UNESCO and to promote the exchange of ideas and best practices between all site managers of Spain.
