Description
In February 1997, during a mission financed by CRATerre - EAG, at the request of the World Heritage Centre, an expert reported that important restoration work had been carried out during the 1966s on almost all the classified buildings (12). However, this work had been effected without any serious scientific, documented research. Although some aspects of the work have effectively reinforced the structures, other buildings require more periodic frequent examination, as some technical faults (often repeated) are apparent.
