Expert meeting “Conservation and Sustainability-from principle to practice”

On the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the World Heritage Convention, the Agency for Cultural Affairs (Government of Japan) and Toyama Prefecture organize an expert meeting "Conservation and Sustainability - from principle to practice".

The objective of this event is to contribute to the outcomes of the closing event of the 40th anniversary in Kyoto, and with the intent to examine the ongoing discussions on sustainable development and World Heritage, to identify the issues to be dealt and to try to contribute to the development of policy strategy for concrete actions and in particular capacity building. Experts from the fields of culture, nature, capacity building and sustainable development are expected to attend.
