The aim of this meeting was to find possible ways to create a model format for the sub-regional synthesis (executive summaries) to facilitate the compilation of the different sub-regional reports into one for Europe. At the proposal of the NWHF, the discussion was structured along the lines of the "Table of Contents" of the Periodic Report: State of the World Heritage in Latin America and the Caribbean 2004". This synthesis of regional Periodic Reporting was considered the best of its kind so far.
