Description
Site préhistorique de la période paléolithique de renommée international (population mechtoide). Il s'agit d'une gallérie d'environ 55 mètre de profondeur caractérisée par un remplissage stratigraphique relatant toute l'histoire du paléolithique superieure de l'Afrique du nord.
De cette grotte ont été exumer une importante industrie lithique et une nécropole constituée d'environ cent individus appartenant au type mechtoide (homme moderne de l'Afrique du nord). Cette population date d’environ 20000 ans avant J.C.
