The International Centre for the Study of the Preservation and Restoration of Cultural Property is an intergovernmental organization (IGO) dedicated to the conservation of cultural heritage by providing expert advice on how to conserve listed properties, as well as training in restoration techniques. ICCROM established in 1956, is located in Rome and exists to serve the international community as represented by its Member States, which currently number more than 126. It is an active partner in the World Heritage Information Network.
