2022 WHIPIC Online Lecture and Webinar Series – Bridging the Gap: 50 Years of the World Heritage Convention

The International Centre for the Interpretation and Presentation of World Heritage Sites under the auspices of UNESCO (hereinafter the WHIPIC) will hold the 2022 Online Lecture and Webinar Series on Understanding World Heritage Interpretation, which consists of five sessions from 25 August to 3 November.

In commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the World Heritage Convention, the WHIPIC will hold the 2022 WHIPIC Online Lecture and Webinar Series between 25 August and 3 November. There are 5 sessions of lectures and webinars prepared under the theme of ‘Bridging the Gap: 50 Years of the World Heritage Convention’. Through the programmes, while reflecting on the past fifty years of the World Heritage Convention, there will be discussions and presentations on the areas overlooked in the implementation of the Convention and the role of heritage interpretation to complement those gaps. The programmes will be in English with open access without any necessary prior registration. After the event, videos of the sessions will be uploaded on WHIPIC’s YouTube and Facebook for easy and accessible viewing.
