The Polytechnic University of Valencia ((Universidad Politecnica de Valencia) is a Spanish private university founded in 1971. In 1995, a partnership was made between this university and the WHC to set up a "Forum UNESCO-University and Heritage" aimed at undertaking activities to protect and safeguard the cultural and natural heritage, through an informal network of higher education institutions managed by the partnering university.

Objectives :

  • Mobilize universities to share programmes and knowledge, and foster academic staff and students exchanges
  • Promote dialogue and cooperation among universities worldwide, based on a spirit of sharing and solidarity corresponding to the ideals of UNESCO, especially for the intercultural dialogue.
  • Support work in a spirit of cooperation to reinforce links between the different institutions through joint research, and academic staff and postgraduate student's exchanges
