The most complete guide to World Heritage sites has been co-published by UNESCO and Harper Collins with the title The World's Heritage: A unique guide to every UNESCO World Heritage site. The world's outstanding cultural and natural treasures are included with detailed descriptions of 878 UNESCO World Heritage sites. Organized chronologically by the year of inscription on the World Heritage List, the texts provide a wealth of information about the sites and are supplemented with over 650 stunning full-colour photographs. There are also location maps for each site as well as regional maps, all produced by the world's leading cartographers, Collins Bartholomew.

English, French, French Canadian, Dutch, Estonian, Hungarian and Spanish editions are already available and the publisher for each version is listed below. A Chinese version will be released at the end of 2009.
