2nd International Conference of the Alliance of World Heritage Cultural Landscapes on "Spirit of Place and Development"

Following the establishment of the Alliance of World Heritage Cultural Landscapes at the 1st International Conference held in Aranjuez, Spain, in December 2007 (http://www.aranjuezcultural.es/red/index.htm), this 2nd conference is designed to focus on the concrete challenges of World Heritage Cultural Landscapes management while also promoting and extending the network of partner sites of the Alliance. Visits of the World Heritage sites of Cultural Landscapes of Sintra and Alto Douro Wine Region will complete the programme of overview presentations and case studies.
