International Heritage Development Conference ‘Creating Economic Futures: One Story at a Time’

4-8 June 2005

The 2005 Conference explores how heritage development compares with economic development by creating an interactive forum on best practices, public-private partnerships, and new heritage tools. The Conference’s programme will demonstrate how individuals can work together with public officials, developers and institutions to create sustainable economic futures which have their roots in stories, experiences and values particular to distinctive regions and places in the United States of America.

The Conference will also focus on interactive sessions and workshops with heritage development professionals, local historic resource stakeholders, economic development professionals, chambers of commerce, planners, park agencies, non-profit organizations, and elected officials.
