International Scientific Committee Meeting on the development of Lumbini

The second meeting of the International Scientific Committee (ISC) on the development of Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha is taking place in Lumbini from 23 to 25 January 2015.

The meeting is a part of the project "Strengthening the Conservation and Management of Lumbini, the Birthplace of the Lord Buddha (Phase II)” funded by Japanese government and implemented by UNESCO in cooperation with the Department of Archaeology and the Lumbini Development Trust.
