Call for applications: Internships to support World Heritage in Africa (deadline 13 Jan 2014)

Within the framework of the 2012-2017 Action Plan for World Heritage in Africa and its Regional Capacity Building Programme, three unique internship opportunities are being offered from 1 March 2014 to 31 May 2014 in the following three international heritage organizations:
- The African World Heritage Fund (AWHF), located in Midrand (South Africa) www.awhf.net/
- The Centre for Heritage Development in Africa (CHDA), located in Mombasa (Kenya) www.heritageinafrica.org
- The Ecole du Patrimoine Africain (EPA), located in Porto-Novo (Benin) www.heritageinafrica.org
The objective of the internships is to provide an opportunity for young African professionals to gain regional experience in international heritage organizations, and to enhance skills in heritage conservation and management for both heritage professionals and heritage institutions.
Applications are welcomed from individuals 30 years of age or younger, including graduate students, professionals or members of natural/cultural heritage and academic institutions (not necessarily within the heritage sector). The project is open to participants from all African countries. Applicants are required to be competent in either English or French. The deadline for applications is Monday, 13 January 2014.
