Description

Taza est une cite ancienne dont l'importance remonte à l'époque Almohade (XIIème S) pendant laquelle furent édifies plusieurs ouvrages défensifs (enceinte et bastions) et en particulier la grande mosquée qui renferme un important lustre importé d'Andalousie à la suite de la bataille d'Alarcos. Carrefour important entre l'Est et l'Ouest du pays, la situation stratégique de la ville située en élévation dans un col étroit lui confère une épopée historique qui s'étale sur plusieurs siècles.
