Description

Category cultural heritage. The town of Chichicastenango is a historical place alive that offers the visitors a direct approach to the different ethnic groups of Guatemala who their multicoloured suits that identify them in a monumental group still shine where the sacred book of the Mayan was located: The Popol Vuh, also called Bible Quiché, mythological book that relates the origin of the old residents of these lands. The vernacular architecture of the place is integrated by a “Plaza”, two churches and a series of houses public and private property built in the time of the Spanish dominance 1524-1821 and republican period, among 1821 at 1922.
