The criteria for selection are in accordance with the rules of ICCROM. In the group work and workshop of this training course, it is expected that the trainees will prepare a plan for the disaster management of cultural heritage by taking into consideration the nature of cultural heritage and the disaster management context of their respective countries. Therefore, it is more desirable for you to apply in pairs of two experts, each belonging to cultural heritage and disaster management fields in your own country.
The short paper should include detailed information about the project(s) concerning cultural heritage management or risk management in which the candidate has been or is currently involved, and should conclude with suggestions on how this training would contribute to enhance the candidate's professional skills.
The application form, and the short paper (all in hard copies) must be sent to the Center's contact address below by post. Candidates are also required to send the electronic data of all the application documents in MS Word format to the Center's email (see address below).
All applications must reach Rits-DMUCH by 30 June 2007. Applications that are not received in hard copy or that are incomplete will not be considered.
