Historic urban landscape - CALL FOR PAPERS for the Spandrel journal, Bhopal, India

To promote quality research in the areas of Architecture, Planning and Design, the School of Planning and Architecture, Bhopal, publishes an international journal “SPANDREL”- Journal of SPA: New Dimensions in Research of Environments for Living. The Journal is intended as a medium of communication and discussion of contemporary issues in Architecture, Planning, Design and allied disciplines. It would aspire to put forward research ideas in theory and best practices of industry. Papers are invited for the seventh issue of the bi-annual publication.

Papers shall be peer reviewed and authors may have to revise their papers for final acceptance.

The contributions are welcome on the following subjects: 

1. Explorations into Historic Urban landscapes as 

• Materializations of collective memory 
• Transformations of ideologies into a concrete form 
• Linking landscapes 

2. Explorations into Historic Urban Landscapes for 

• Change and fragmentation: documentation and/ or impact thereof 
• Ecological functions 
• Multifunctional landscapes 
• Market gardens
• Green infrastructure 

3. Experiments or strategies for the safeguarding the future of the Historic Urban Landscapes
