Minor boundary modifications - Prehistoric Sites and Decorated Caves of the Vézère Valley, France

The World Heritage Committee,

  1. Having examined Documents WHC/23/45.COM/8B and WHC/23/45.COM/INF.8B1,
  2. Approves the proposed buffer zone for the Prehistoric Sites and Decorated Caves of the Vézère Valley, France;
  3. Recommends the State Party to give consideration to the following:
    1. Providing a timeframe for the finalisation, adoption and implementation of the management plan, especially for tourism facilities and development,
    2. Proposing a project for the study, monitoring and regulation of human activities with regard to their long-term impact on:
      1. The water resource and its foreseeable evolution across the whole property and its buffer zone,
      2. The hydrogeological environment of the property and its buffer zone, evolution of which could affect the Outstanding Universal Value of the property in a mid-term to long-term perspective,
      3. The integration of appropriate regulations into the town planning documents as approved by the local authorities.
