The World Heritage Centre will organize on 3 March 2016, in collaboration with the Secretariat of other Conventions in the field of Culture, a special information session for the Students of the Master in "World Heritage and Cultural Projects for Development" of the Turin School of Development, which is part of the International Training Centre (ITC) of the International Labour Organization (ILO).
The session will take place at UNESCO Headquarters and will gather some 50 students from all regions of the world, with a strong representation from Latin America, together with a dozen of professionals from the culture sector of UNESCO.
Since 1990, over 2,000 participants from all around the world have obtained postgraduate qualifications and Masters’ degrees through the Turin School of Development. Its students represent a new generation of site managers, programme managers and experts on which the world will have to rely to ensure the transmission of our heritage to the human kind of tomorrow.
The session will offer to this new generation of culture professionals an insight on the current UNESCO’s work in the field of heritage, through direct dialogue with a number of seasoned professionals who will present their daily work and challenges.
