The English version of the 'Preservation and Management Plan' for this mixed site, including summarized proceedings of an international workshop organized with support from the World Heritage Fund by the Ministry of Culture, Turkey, during 1-3 July 1991, has been published. The Ministry of Culture, Turkey, has kindly sent copies for distribution among members of the Committee. IUCN, ICOMOS and ICCROM have also been sent copies in order to enable them to follow up on the implementation of the Plan.

The Bureau was pleased to note that the English version of the "Preservation and Management Plan" for this mixed site, prepared with financial assistance from the World Heritage Fund, has been published. The observer from Turkey informed the Bureau that the implementation of the Plan has begun and a project to remove some of the hotels and associated infrastructure which were threatening the integrity and authenticity of the site will soon commence and that the Turkish authorities hope to request international assistance from the World Heritage Fund to meet part of the costs of implementing the project.
The threats indicated are listed in alphabetical order; their order does not constitute a classification according to the importance of their impact on the property.
Furthermore, they are presented irrespective of the type of threat faced by the property, i.e. with specific and proven imminent danger (“ascertained danger”) or with threats which could have deleterious effects on the property’s Outstanding Universal Value (“potential danger”).
