UNESCO for Haiti. 19 April 2011
UNESCO invites Member States, Intergovernemental Organizations, NGOs, the Private Sector and Civil Society to a Conference designed to demonstrate the importance of culture as a motor for reconstruction in Haiti. The main objective of this conference is to inform the international community about the role of Culture in the Reconstruction of Haiti, the projects undertaken, the needs and the actions that should be developed in the short and medium term. The proposed actions will focus on different projects covering five main sectors: World Heritage (cultural and natural), intangible cultural heritage, movable heritage (museums, archives, libraries), cultural industries and cultural policies.
