The World Heritage Committee,
- Having examined Document WHC/23/45.COM/7B.Add.2,
- Recalling Decision 44 COM 8B.38 adopted at its extended 44th session (Fuzhou/online 2021),
- Takes note with satisfaction of the progress made by the State Party in implementing most of the recommendations made by the Committee at the time of inscription;
- Also notes that the boundaries of the property as indicated in the revised map submitted by the State Party are considered adequate;
- Encourages the State Party to continue its efforts to complete the inventory of built heritage as well as the documentation of the interiors of the buildings with a view to protecting them;
- Also encourages the State Party to strengthen the monitoring programme for the state of conservation of the property based on clear, easy to measure indicators to track changes in the condition of the attributes over time, and against a well-defined baseline;
- Further encourages the State Party to undertake a mid-term review of the management plan by 2025;
- Requests the State Party to submit to the World Heritage Centre, by 1 December 2024, an updated report on the state of conservation of the property and the implementation of the above, for review by the World Heritage Centre and the Advisory Bodies.
