ABDOLRASOOL VATANDOUST
Born in 1947 in Ishfahan, Iran, Dr. Abdolrasool
Vatandooust received his BSc in Chemistry from Tehran University in 1970,
training in conservation and restoration of historical materials from various
conservation centres and his PhD from the University of London in 1978.
He has established a number of conservation workshops as well as academic
conservation institutions, including Research Centre for Conservation of
Cultural Relics (RCCCR) in Iran. He is currently the Director of RCCCR;
University professor in conservation and conservation science; UNESCO expert;
and an ICCROM Council member. He has organised a number of national, regional
and international symposiums and training courses.
