Luiz Philippe Peres Torelly, an urbanist with wide experience in urban development, particularly in Brasilia, was born in 1954 and obtained degrees in architecture, public policies and urban planning from the University of Brasilia and the Institute of Applied Economical Research of Brazil. Having worked as architect and urbanist for the Company for Development of the Planalto Central (CODEPLAN), the National Housing Bank, Federal Savings and Loans Bank (CEF) and Institute of Territorial and Urban Planning of the Federal District, Torelly currently supervises and coordinates urban and territorial policies as its Secretary of State.
