The 37th session of the World Heritage Committee will be held in the Kingdom of Cambodia, in Phnom Penh and Siem Reap-Angkor, from 16th to 27th June 2013. The 37th session is organized by UNESCO and the National Commission of Cambodia with the support of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers.

Please note that all requests to participate in the 37th session of the Committee must be submitted online at the following address www.whc37cambodia2013.kh

All delegates and those who wish to attend the 37th session as observers are strongly advised to register as soon as possible and preferably before 31st May 2013.

The form is available with the access code contained in the invitation letter addressed to the permanent delegation, national commission or organization to which you belong. If you do not have this code please contact the permanent delegation, the national commission that you represent (address available online at the following address: www.unesco.org/new/en/unesco/worldwide/

Once you have registered online, and your accreditation has been granted, an e-mail confirming your registration will be sent to you.

Accomodation

All participants must reserve their accommodation directly with the hotel and duly inform the organizers (for the organization of transportation to the meeting) at the following address: www.whc37cambodia2013.kh, and contact Mr. KONG Chanveasna at +855 12 876 877, and Mr. Suon Sovann at +855 12 203 464 or hotel-secretariat@whc37cambodia2013.kh. Participants of the 37th session shall be responsible for the reservation of their hotel accommodation and all expenses incurred during their stay, including the hotel reservation in Siem Reap-Angkor for the closing ceremony.

Passport, Visa and other travel information

All international visitors must have a passport that is valid for at least 6 months, for their stay in the Kingdom of Cambodia.

For all enquiries concerning visas and other formalities required to enter the Kingdom of Cambodia, participants are requested to contact directly the consulate or the diplomatic mission of Cambodia in their own country. The confirmation email received upon online registration and accreditation must be presented for the visa request, with two recent ID photographs and 20 US dollars in cash.

To avoid any delay or waiting, participants are encouraged to take steps to obtain their visa as soon as possible, after receiving the email confirmation of accreditation, and before their departure. However, all the international participants who have received accreditation will also have the possibility to apply for an entry visa directly upon their arrival at the airport in the Kingdom of Cambodia, and upon presentation of two photographs, and 20 US dollars in cash.

The visa application will be free of charge for all the members of the Committee, Advisory Bodies, the Secretariat, and youth delegate representatives of the Youth Forum.

Participants may also obtain visas online at the following address: www.mfaic.gov.kh. However, please note that all visa requests made online will be charged for all participants, including members of the Committee, Advisory Bodies, the Secretariat, and youth delegate representatives of the Youth Forum.

Flight Reservations

Once participants have received email confirmation of their accreditation they are strongly advised to reserve their flights as soon as possible. As a reference, the Cambodian Ministry of Tourism website will provide you with additional information on flights and schedules: http://www.tourismcambodia.org/ 

The closing ceremony will take place on 27th June in Siem Reap-Angkor, 45 minutes flying time from Phnom Penh. As a result, participants may schedule their return flight, from either Phnom Penh or Siem Reap-Angkor that has an international airport. The host country will provide and pay for travel from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap-Angkor for 2 persons per delegation, leaving in the morning of the 27th of June, and returning on the 28th of June in the morning. The journey will be by plane for each member of the Committee, Advisory Bodies and the Secretariat, and by bus for other participants. Please notify the secretariat of the session organizers for plane and bus reservations.
