Description
The archaeological complexis of setllement Sarazm were excavated in 9 excavation trenchs and in 12 probe trenchs. As a result now we have some dwelling houses, monumental buildings, cult centres and the row of handicraft blocks.
The discovery of the settlement Sarazm led not only to finding of the centre of early agricultural culture of Central Asia situated in Zarafshan valley on the territory of Sogd (according to the writing sources) but brought again the archaeological science's attention to the problem of studying of various centres of development of Central Asia in epoch of origion of the first civilization of the Near East type.
The resalts of Sarazm's research were presented and discussed at to many international simposiams: Dushanbe,1979; Washington, 1981 and 1986; Paris,1985; Mainz, 1992; Panjikent, 1994. there were published a lot of articles devoted to this settlement by: A.Isakov, L. Pyankova, U. Eshonkulov, A.Razzokov, S. Bobomulloev (Tajikistan); R. Besenval, A. Frankfort, B. Lione, M.Kasanova (France); L. Lamberg-Karlovsky, F. Koll (Usa); V.Masson, G.Koshelenko (Russia) and others.
