         <title>World Heritage sites participate in Earth Hour 2013</title>
         <description><![CDATA[Once again UNESCO will partner with World Wildlife Fund (WWF) for Earth Hour,&amp;nbsp;one of the world&apos;s largest and most well-known environmental campaigns in the world. UNESCO has invited World Heritage sites to participate in this initiative by switching off the lights on the night of Earth Hour: Saturday,&amp;nbsp;23 March 2013, from 8:30 to 9:30pm local time.&amp;nbsp;

         <title>World Heritage Committee Inscribes 61 New Sites on World Heritage List</title>
         <description><![CDATA[Cairns - UNESCO&apos;s World Heritage Committee, meeting since November 27 in Cairns, Australia, has inscribed 61 new cultural and natural sites on the World Heritage. The List now has 690 sites of &amp;quot;exceptional universal value&amp;quot; in 122 countries. Sites in Azerbaijan, Malaysia, Nicaragua and Suriname are on the List for the first time.
