As part of the "World Heritage Eco Learning Program", Panasonic hosted, from June 26th to 28th, the "Environmental activity for the next generation” at the Ogasawara Islands - a UNESCO World Heritage site.

During the event, Japanese children from Ogasawara Elementary School and Ogasawara Lions Club, recorded videos in collaboration with "Kids Witness News", a global hands-on video education programme from Panasonic for elementary and secondary school children, to support the protection of their World Heritage site. Other activities included lectures about World Heritage, quizzes and interaction with children from other countries engaged in preserving their heritage sites.

Over the year, Panasonic will host World Heritage educational activities for the next generation in six different sites.

The strategic partnership between the UNESCO World Heritage Centre and Panasonic, signed in June 2011, aims to contribute to preserving UNESCO World Heritage and promoting sustainable growth through environmental education.
