RSS2nd International Mid-Atlantic Ridge Expert Workshop
The main objective of this meeting is to define a scientific framework for the identification and recognition of sites related to the Mid-Atlantic Ridge phenomenon, which may be of outstanding universal value and to define the framework for a serial nomination on the World Heritage List. The outcome of this meeting will contribute to a better identification and understanding of the Mid-Atlantic Ridge concept for World Heritage properties, in close association with other international conventions and programmes. The recommendations of the expert workshop will be submitted to the World Heritage Committee at its 32nd session in Québec, Canada, 2-10 July 2008 (WHC-08/32.COM/8D)
