28COM 14B.18 - Extension of Properties Inscribed on the World Heritage List (Area de Conservación Guancaste)

Decision Text

The World Heritage Committee,

1. Approves the extension of the Area de Conservación Guancaste, Costa Rica, to include the Sector Santa Elena;

2. Commends the State Party for its commitment and efforts in solving the legal process concerning the inclusion of this important sector in the Area de Conservation Guanacaste;

3. Encourages the State Party to fully integrate this sector in the overall management of this World Heritage property.
