Bureau of the World Heritage Committee
2007 - 2008
The Bureau consists of seven States Parties elected annually by the Committee: a Chairperson, five Vice-Chairpersons, and a Rapporteur.
At its 31st session (Christchurch, 2007), the World Heritage Committee elected the following members of its Bureau (Decision 31 COM 22):
- Chairperson: Mrs. Christina Cameron, Canada
- Rapporteur: Alissandra Cummins, Barbados
- Vice-Chairpersons: Israel, Kenya, Peru, Republic of Korea and Tunisia.
The Bureau of the Committee coordinates the work of the Committee and fixes the dates, hours and order of business of meetings.
The election of the new Bureau will take place at the end of the 32nd session of the World Heritage Committee (Quebec, June-July 2008).
