Philip Jodidio who was born in New Jersey in 1954, studied art history and economics at Harvard. He has been editor-in-chief of the French art magazine Connaissance des Arts in Paris since 1980 a nd is a member of many scientific committees and juries. Among the numerous studies and books he has published on contemporary architecture are the Taschen series on contemporary American, European and Japanese architects as well as monographs on Norman Foster, Tadao Ando, Richard Meier and Santiago Calatrava, among others.
A Knight in the French Order of Arts and Letters, Jodidio has also won the Prix de Briey for his publications.
